Again this year we missed going up to the snow with David's family because David was working, and I.....didn't want to go by myself :( We mentioned our wanting to go to the snow with my brother since we went with him last year and soon plans were made-December 31st was the day that became our fun snow trip with my family. Driving up we saw very little snow and it was around 51 degrees so I was afraid that all of it had melted. Luckily the place we usually go to was still covered in snow and so many people were there sledding and we joined in on the fun. Below are some pictures of adventure. The ones with my mom and sisters in them are so funny, mostly because they used a deflated air mattress along with a foam mattress cover (that people use while camping) and that was their sled. It worked out great but they ended up falling over quite a bit.
On another note, David and I have been praying as to whether or not we should stay in our apartment another year. Our lease ends in May and it would be wonderful to find an affordable two bedroom apartment/condo/townhouse not too far from where we are. If you hear of anything in East..east...Mesa or in Gilbert thats under 720$ a month please let us know :)
My niece Kiara making a snow angel
Stacey and David getting himself out of the sled
My sisters and mom squished in the middle (told you they are funny to see!)
My brother, Kiara, and sister in law Jessica with their Russian Snowman
David poking out of the window of the snow fort we built
Above is my mom, Kiara, and Stacey with the snowman they built, below is my family huddled in the half-built fort. We couldn't finish it because it took over an hour to make the little bit that we did.

Hey Lynette! We love the place we're in... it's located just south of Brown off of Stapley. It's a two bed, two bath condo and most people pay around $610 per month with water, trash, and HOA fees included. And btw, I love reading your blog!
What a fun snow trip! Your snowman is awesome!
There are some really cute, 2 bedroom Town Homes just down the street from the complex. They are on University, close to Gilbert. I think they're called East Brook. I know there are a few in there for $725 and under. The one we looked at was only $675 and as of about three weeks ago, it was still available. Maybe check that out. I will find the website for it and email it to you. The complex treated us very badly once they found out we didn't want to resign out lease. They tried to make it so we had to sign for January or else be charged. So we went over their heads and called the people who actually own the complex. They were very sweet, considering our circumstance, and got upset that the manager ( Kris ) treated us that way. It was an adventure, to say the least. So I am all for you leaving the complex. I have lost all respect for them. And the cool thing about those Town Homes, is that I am pretty sure they're still in the Stake. So you may even be able to stay in the Ward if you check with the Bishop. That's what we're hoping to do.
I;m afraid I have no clue about rentals. ?But I love the snow pics
:)
Lynette!
So glad you found me! Blogging is a fun way to keep track of people. Ya, now we're up to seven. Keeps me out of trouble. I loved seeing your snow pictures. We were actually coming home from Greer that day. The snow was perfect! Fun to see Chris has a little girl--had no idea! Comment in occasionally. Love to hear how you're doing!
Hey Lynette! We went up to the snow around then too, and it was beautiful! I loved your pics, the sledding looked super fun. I hope you had a great break- I will see you in class tomorrow! Yikes!
I'm not sure if they are still available, but the apartments we lived in have two openings that we noticed were still there at Christmas. Two bedrooms, one bath- McKellips and gilbert and the neighborhood is great. They weren't much to look at from the outside- not in a complex but just three fourplexes next to each other but the landlords are great and the neighbors are too. Call Exceed Realty at 480-288-0985 and ask about the Winterhaven apartments.
